Privacy Policy

Short version: We collect only what we need to run the service. We do not sell your data. You can request deletion any time.

What We Collect

We collect only the minimum needed to operate this service:

Account information you provide (email, display name) when signing in
Content you create — AI-generated designs, images, budget estimates, project notes, floor plans
Location coordinates, precision, and visibility only when you deliberately save a map location
Usage signals (page visits, feature interactions) to improve the product
Technical data (browser type, approximate region) for diagnostics

Who Controls the Data

SchoHome is operated by David Schoenfelder, sole proprietor, in Sheridan, Wyoming. Privacy and deletion requests may be sent to [email protected].

What We Do Not Collect

Payment card numbers — handled by our payment processor directly; we never see full card data
Precise GPS location without your explicit consent
Biometric data
Contact lists, microphone input, or camera data

How We Use Your Data

To provide and operate the platform features you use
To save your work so you can return to it
To improve platform performance and fix issues
To contact you about your account when necessary (not marketing)

We do not sell your data. We do not rent or trade your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing.

Public and Private Saves

Every user-created save must show a visibility choice. Private is the default.

Private saves are hidden from other users. Authorized SchoHome administrators may access them only when needed to operate, support, secure, moderate, or administer the service.
Public saves may be shown to other users and visitors in the relevant SchoHome feature. The save screen will explain the intended audience before you confirm.

Location visibility and location precision are separate choices. Approximate is recommended for public map pins. A private location remains available to the account owner and the disclosed administrator map, but is not shown to other users.

Where Data Is Stored

Server-side data (accounts, contractor profiles, private per-user Jasia memory and conversations, AI-generated images, project content) is stored via Supabase, hosted in the United States.

Some preferences — including your legal acceptance record — are stored only in your browser's localStorage on your device and are never sent to our servers.

AI-Generated Content

When you use Jasia AI or Studio AI, your prompts and generated images may be saved to your account history so you can retrieve them later.

AI prompts and outputs are not used to train public AI models without your explicit consent.

Third-Party Services

This platform uses the following third-party services:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
Cloudflare R2 — media and image storage
AI providers — for image generation and AI assistant features
Google Maps Platform — interactive maps and map display
Stripe — secure checkout, subscription billing, and payment records
Netlify — website hosting and server-side functions
Cloudflare — domain, security, content delivery, and support-email routing

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We share only what is necessary for those services to function.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not third-party tracking cookies) to store session preferences, your last-viewed market, and legal acceptance status. These are stored on your device only and are not shared with third parties or used for ad targeting.

How to Delete Your Data

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us through the About page. We will process your request within 30 days.

Some data may be retained for legal compliance or dispute resolution as permitted by law.

Children

This platform is intended for adults involved in home buying, building, or contracting. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the version date above and (where required) prompt you to re-acknowledge the updated terms.
